Is reclaimed wood a good choice for flooring in every room in my home?
Absolutely! It is only in recent years that homeowners sought other flooring choices in kitchens, bathrooms, and hallways. Wood flooring in high traffic locations is a beautiful choice. Proper finishes will protect the wood from exposure to other elements that may exist in a kitchen or bath. Our old growth cypress is an excellent choice for use in exterior decking!
What We Do:
Historic Flooring specializes in flooring, wall coverings, trim and accessories produced from reclaimed antique and old growth wood with an emphasis on Heart Pine, Oak and Wormy Chestnut. The wood we use to produce Historic Flooring products was originally harvested anywhere from 100 to 300 years ago, when it was used to build America. We recue most of the wood from old barns, factories, cotton mills and other antique structures, many of which are Circa 1700s 1800s. The remainder is responsibly harvested Old Growth Lumber.
